HMP Birmingham in an appalling state, Chief Inspector of Prisons warned in 2018
In August 2018 the Chief Inspector of Prisons invoked the Urgent Notification process at G4S-run HMP Birmingham, after inspectors rated the prison poor in all four areas they assess.
