The Crown Prosecution Service’s second annual report on joint enterprise homicide cases shows almost one in five defendants were children, while a fifth had no recorded ethnicity.
Families affected by joint enterprise prosecutions shared their experiences at events in Haringey and at the University of Westminster. A Crown Prosecution Service representative spoke at the Haringey meeting.
The campaign group, which wants life sentences for children abolished, gave a platform to people serving such sentences, their mothers and legal experts.
Joint Enterprise Not Guilty by Association (JENGbA) launched a campaign in Parliament on 23 March 2026, with speakers arguing that such sentences are inhumane.
